RBL Kings & Contenders Vol. II Delivers a Big Night for UAE Boxing in Dubai

Held on Sunday, 27 September 2026 at MMA Live Gym in Dubai, the event brought together youth, amateur and professional boxing as Royal Boxing League continued its focus on developing competitive opportunities within the UAE boxing scene. RBL's official site confirms the event date and venue, while the event listing described Kings & Contenders Vol. II as an amateur youth and elite boxing showcase.

NXT Fight and FYYTR were among the principal sponsors supporting the event, alongside a wider group of partners. The event also welcomed VIP guests and representatives from the UAE Boxing Federation and UAE Athletic Commission, alongside figures from across the UAE boxing and combat-sports community.

UAE Duo Deliver on the Professional Card

Two of the biggest homegrown stories came towards the end of the event.

Nawaf Alzahmi defeated Ashish Kumar by TKO, while Husain Alshammar stopped Vishwas Lahori by KO, giving the UAE two stoppage victories on the professional card.

Alzahmi entered the professional ranks with significant international amateur experience for the UAE. He was part of the UAE national boxing team selected for the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, competing at 57kg alongside Sultan Al Nuaimi, Husain Alshammar and Mohammed Saeed Al Hefetti. His victory at Kings & Contenders Vol. II continued that journey from representing the UAE on the international amateur stage to building his career in professional boxing.

Alshammar has an established professional career of his own. The Dubai-born fighter, known as “The Soldier,” has competed both at home and internationally and has developed a reputation for stoppage victories. His knockout victory over Lahori at Kings & Contenders added another stoppage to that story.

Having two UAE fighters secure stoppage wins provided a strong homegrown conclusion to an event built around developing and showcasing boxing in the Emirates.

Tough Contests Across the Card

The amateur programme produced a number of competitive bouts, including a hard-fought contest between Hamza Abdelsalam and Diego De Lion.

Hamza was pushed through a tough fight before securing the victory on points, in one of the closely contested encounters of the event.

The intensity continued into the co-main event as Abdullah Ayyash faced Emmanuel Yiga. Ayyash was made to work for the result against Yiga before eventually taking the victory on points.

Elsewhere, Zaid Touqan produced a stoppage victory over Ward Alotaibi by TKO as the amateur and elite programme set the stage for the professional contests later in the event.

Reeshab Ravish Named Fighter of the Night

One of the major individual honours of Kings & Contenders Vol. II went to Reeshab Ravish, who was named Fighter of the Night.

Reeshab secured a points victory over Abdurakhman Khasanov, with his performance earning him the event award on a card featuring more than two dozen contests.

The recognition capped a memorable event for Reeshab and added another standout storyline to a card featuring fighters from across the UAE boxing community.

NXT Fight and FYYTR Among Principal Sponsors

NXT Fight and FYYTR were among the principal sponsors supporting RBL Kings & Contenders Vol. II, alongside the event's other sponsors and partners.

The two brands supported different elements of the event.

FYYTR supported the competition through boxing equipment and apparel, continuing the UAE-based boxing brand's involvement across amateur and professional competition.

NXT Fight supported the digital side of the event, with the fight card available through the platform and results updated as they were confirmed.

Through NXT Studio, winner content could then be generated and prepared for social-media distribution, with the workflow reducing the time between an official result and publication of a winner announcement to under 40 seconds.

The result was a digital layer around the event that allowed fight information, results and winner content to move quickly beyond the venue and reach the wider boxing community.

VIPs and UAE Boxing Stakeholders in Attendance

Kings & Contenders Vol. II also brought together VIPs and senior figures from the wider UAE boxing and combat-sports community.

VIP guests included representatives from the UAE Boxing Federation and UAE Athletic Commission, alongside other guests from across sport and business.

Their attendance added to an event that brought multiple parts of the UAE boxing ecosystem together in one venue, from amateur fighters, professionals, coaches and gyms to promoters, governing stakeholders, sponsors and commercial partners.

A Strong Night for UAE Boxing

For Royal Boxing League, the event brought another substantial card to Dubai and put developing amateur talent alongside professional competition.

For the wider UAE boxing community, it was another opportunity to bring fighters, coaches, officials, sponsors and supporters together around the sport.

And for the fighters themselves, Kings & Contenders Vol. II provided the part that matters most, competition inside the ring.

RBL Reflects on a Successful Event
