The UAE-based featherweight continues his unbeaten start with another victory, this time on Queensberry Promotions' Birmingham card.
UAE-based featherweight Mikael Hussain added another victory to his professional record on Saturday night, defeating Nabil Ahmed on Queensberry Promotions’ card at bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham.
Hussain entered the four-round featherweight contest against the vastly more experienced Ahmed as part of the undercard to Liam Davies vs Nathaniel Collins.
The victory continues the unbeaten start to Hussain’s professional career and represents another step forward for a fighter whose development has strong links to the UAE.
Based and training in Dubai, Hussain has been building his professional career between the Emirates and the UK. His latest appearance put him on a major Queensberry Promotions stage alongside some of British boxing’s emerging names. Hussain has previously fought under BATL Promotions in Dubai.
For UAE boxing, that connection matters.
As the sport continues to develop across the Emirates, fighters training and developing in the UAE are increasingly gaining opportunities to compete beyond the region. Hussain’s Birmingham victory provides another example of that pathway, developing in Dubai and competing on an established international stage.
